Whats Ahead 2013-Linky Party!
Gearing up for January and the rest of the school year is both exciting and stressful for me! However, a few days before Christmas break is over, I always enjoy changing a few things in my classroom, creating better and more engaging lessons, and getting as much sleep and relaxation as possible.
I have decided to join Michelle, over at "Making It as a Middle School Teacher," to look at what's ahead in 2013:
Hope I did this correctly....I am still a newbie to linky parties!!!

Class Dojo REWARD IDEAS
So, many people were excited about my post on the Dojo, but they still had questions.
This is how I use it throughout the day:
This is how I use it throughout the day:
- I log into Class Dojo every morning.
- Whenever a child comes in, they are able to see my morning message as well as their running weekly total. I believe this gives them a chance to either fix their behavior that day, or keep on keepin' on!
- During class, I simply MINIMIZE the screen and/or Create a New Tab on the internet if something in my presentation uses it.

CLASS DOJO for classroom management! IT WORKS!!
CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT HELP!
I have been hearing a lot of people talk about "Class Dojo" and I had my doubts. However, after much deliberation, and some time on their website, I decided to try it out with my class.
IT WORKED! My rowdy kids got quieter, my quiet kids became more involved...it seemed like a miracle. But will this dream end? I will keep you posted.
P.S. I was not paid to advertise this site, nor do I know anyone associated with it. I just took a colleagues advice, tried it, and it seems to be working with some of my blurters and troublemakers.
So.....I must share it with those who teach the upper grades as well as my loyal blog followers!
