My Reading Autobiography

Hey folks! I am taking a State mandated reading course online and I am enjoying it thus far! My first assignment was to write the story of how you learned to read, in under 600 words. Well, mine was over the limit a bit, but I am proud of my little story. I hope it encourages other educators to take pause, and reflect on HOW and WHY you like to read. It's a very powerful exercise and I hope you do it before your next school year!

2015-2016 School Year-I'm Back in 5th grade!!!!!

I have been gone all year....sorry followers!

I was supposed to loop from 4th to 5th, but instead I am just moving with (hopefully) most of my kids to 5th grade! I am overly excited to get back into the curriculum and be able to work with some amazing folks!

Our district is giving each 5th grader their very own iPad starting next October, so my blog should be filled with some resources and tricks I pick up while starting this school year!

HELLO SUMMER!

This year has been a whirl-wind for me, with moving schools, being hospitalized and out of school for 2 months, time has flown by! I wish everyone success who does follow my blog, but next year, I am moving to 4th grade, so the content will be changing! I am excited.....summer here I come!!!
