Lesson Plan Format
A lot of new teachers are still using lesson plan books!!? WHY? This is a digital world! SO I thought I'd share my lesson plan format for anyone out there looking for a new way to plan their weeks or new teachers looking at different styles of planning.
I did not create this one, but I have tweaked it over the years. At first, it was not my style, but WOW has it saved me over the years and kept me focused on just what the children need on a weekly basis.
When I complete the planning, I print it and place it at the front of my room, right next to my daily agenda. By doing this, I am able to quickly write the next day's lesson quickly and efficiently before leaving for the day. It is also helpful for administration and/or unexpected subs to see my weekly plans.
HOPE IT HELPS!?!?

1920s Dance Floor Station Rotation!!
After being at an interactive science retreat center for my kiddos, I decided to amp up my social studies lessons with more hands-on activities. This is difficult, but I am going to try to make learning about the 1920s MORE INTERESTING! YES I CAN!! ( I hope) LOL :)
I came up with a station rotation and a place for a "photo booth" so the kiddos can dress in the time period while listening to music of the period. After the kids go through the stations, filling out their foldable, we will review with the slides below with a WORD SPLASH. Feel free to leave your email if you want a copy of the SMARTfile.

Covey "Begin with the End in Mind" Goal Activity
I saw a pin on Pinterest from an art teacher and revamped it for a new year's resolution/goals activity I am planning to do Monday morning prior to starting our day. | ||||||||||||
